Can you recommend a beige/neutral paint colour - I've bought one that looks purple

I bought what looked like a warm neutral colour (Crown - Dash of Nutmeg) because of this picture.

On the wall it's looking purple which is not what i want to go with a mossy green wall.

Any suggestions please?

I didn't buy sample pots because I wanted to get going - that was a mistake!

We have Dulux Egyptian cotton - it mostly looks like a warm mid-greige. Looks very nice against white wooodwork.

Actually, it looks almost exactly like your picture 😂

Dulux natural hessian, is lovely warm shade, works well in natural or artificial light.

I am considering F&B Stirabout as a neutral. It’s one of their new shades and I rather like the look of it.

I second this colour.

I recently moved, and poo pooed it, as I had it in my old house.

I bought a load of samplers (unknown to me Hessian was also in there) when the colours dried I settled back on Natural Hessain.

Antique Cream is a very good neutral.

Use tester pots 😁
In fact, allow a minimum £20 budget for testers alone.

Anything aiming towards mink/taupe is likely to have pink or aubergine, plum undertones even thou the pictures look more cream, beige.
Ideally, something with slightest hint of green or brown undertones will get you where you want. But can't tell until you try on the walls.

Thank you. Off to get a few sample pots tomorrow.

Another vote for Egyptian Cotton. I'd describe it as mushroom.

Little Greene slaked lime mid or deep (comes in different strengths)- slaked lime 105 is the lightest and is a nice ‘white’ shade
