Sorry, weird question.
We're looking to revamp our kitchen that was done over 10 years ago. Can't afford to redo it so looking to modify layout and add a breakfast bar/small island. Our worktops are granite so can't afford to replace the lot even though they are definitely not what I'd choose if doing the kitchen today! Got a couple of quotes from local suppliers to add a breakfast bar in the same granite (it's still available and quite common) but the quotes we're over 2k for a slab approx 1.2 metres! Have been looking on ebay & marketplace to see if we can find second hand for a few hundred pounds. Have certainly found a few but so far wrong size/thickness or the other end of the country. Will keep looking but wondered if anyone had suggestions of where else we can look. We're in South East but don't mind driving an hour or two for the right thing!
