My small downstairs bathroom is horrible, part parquet flooring, part wood. I've neglected it and now have an opportunity to revamp but no real ideas. Pics attached. Advice on floor greatly appreciated!

I think a downstairs loo is the room to be bold in, a good strong colour on the walls. I would keep the parquet flooring, and maybe use vinyl peel and stick tiles for the part that is not parquet. There are loads of lovely designs. I recently decorated my downstairs loo from a white box. I'll try and upload photos.

I was going to go black at first, but went for a very dark blue in the end. It is one of my favourite rooms in my house. There is loads of inspiration on Pinterest for this kind of thing. Just take a look and see what jumps out at you.

This is really east to fix. Just needs a bit of love, care and attention. Keep the parquet and just do something to the bit by the toilet, maybe some tiles?
Tile the whole room completely? And put some bright snazzy glittery ones in the middle? Or paint the walls a nice bright colour.

@NK1a3c7ee5X110886e829a that looks unbelievable!!! You must have a stunning house

Would the tiles go on the wood or would the wood be removed? I hadnt thought of tiling near the toilet but it all seems obvious now.

Could anyone post some links please?

@Dorsebound thank you. Actually most of the rest of my house is a big white box. We recently moved here and haven't decorated most rooms yet. I think you could possibly get away with tiling on top of the wood.

Bold wallpaper is nice too www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/480196379029071841/

There are some lovely patterned tiles like these www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/10344274143206059/
