Thick velvet curtains

Does anyone have a source for velvet curtains that they can recommend? Reviews on many websites seem to complain about thin material and we are after something thicker for insulation plus blackout lining would be great.

Dunelm seems a popular choice for curtains, or Curtains2Go? Has anyone bought velvet curtains somewhere that they would recommend? It’s an odd size so might need custom made.

I had mine made to measure from John Lewis, they really keep the light and cold out. X

I agree the Made.com ones are really good quality.

M&S

Oh no sorry, I've got M&S ones but the velvet ones are from La Redoute

I have Next velour super thermal curtains. Thick, heavy, and I love them.

IKEA make lovely velvet curtains.

Thanks, lots of good recommendations. I love the look of Made.com curtains but I’m not sure if the sizes will work and the colour is difficult to know on a screen. I might chance them as they look good value.

John Lewis also looked nice but v expensive. I’ll check out Next and IKEA. How were the ones from La Redoute @cooolio ?

@IvyHouse have a look on eBay, lots of good quality velvet curtains if you can find the size you need.

Really pleased with them. We live in a very windy exposed place and they make the room feel warm
