Hello dear MN. I'm looking to purchase a new blanket to keep me cosy in the winter. I'm going to try and use it instead of putting the heating on!! Just been browsing and am a bit overwhelmed at the range available!! And confused by the word throw! Aren't they more for decoration? Does anyone have a really cosy snuggly blanket which they would say is a must have for the winter? I don't want a fleece one or one of those you can wear with a hood. Just the softest cosiest blanket.. one that you couldn't live without! Thank you Smile

Get a Sherpa throw. I got a lovely Kilburn and Scott one for £17 in TK Maxx and it’s absolutely lovely. So super cosy and I haven’t had the heating on yet. Plus the kids want to snuggle more with me under it now. No fancy heated throws as I think they’re so pricey. I always use a hot water bottle in autumn too.

Ooh thank you so much! I'll pop in tomorrow and see if they have any!

I can second a Sherpa throw, they are fleece but so super thick and warm.

What’s your budget? I got a Dreamland faux fur heated throw 3 or 4 years ago. It cost around £100, but is one of the best things I’ve ever spent money on. Costs a few pence per hour to run. Means I put the heating on less. And the cat loves it!
