New Mattress???

Not really home decorating as such but I didn't know where to put it.

I am looking to buy a new mattress, but wanted some ideas first. I've heard about Emma mattresses being very good but these are 100% foam, and I don't quite get how a memory foam mattress works as you don't stay in the same position every night! That's put me off a bit.

I just want a really good, comfortable one, maybe orthopaedic as I have fibromyalgia (so the Emma would be no good I guess?) Not too hard, but not marshmallowy either.

Any thoughts?

Go to a place that sells them and try them out. Explain what you are looking for and they can recommend.

Emma premium is spring and foam. Had it about a month and good so far.

Most of the mattress in a box places (Emma, Otto, Simba and the like) offer generous trial periods, usually around 100 nights. So if you don't like them you can send them back with no quibbling.

We have an Eve Original Hybrid. It is a combination of various foams plus a spring core. It has the springy feeling of... well.... springsSmile but the softness of foam.

I was very unsure of ordering (I had my eye on an ultra expensive but divine hand made one), but the trial period meant DH convinced me I'm very glad he did, as I completely love it. We've since bought the same one for DD and for our guest bed, and also persuaded My parents to get one - and they also love it.

It's firmer but not hard, soft but not pillowy. Just right for us.
