Open plan - where would you put the kitchen?

Hello wise home decorators,

Im trying to figure out where would
be the nicest place for the kitchen in an open plan space. I’ve seen versions of this floorplan where the kitchen is in the upper right corner in an L shape with dining lower right and lounge in the centre of the house. However I like the idea of the kitchen in the centre with counter tops running along the wall under the windows. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and like the idea of it as the heart of the space and with all the light from this side (south facing). This would also free up the space on upper and lower right for living space.

just wanted to check in and see if others think this layout would work well? It’s for a log cabin which is not yet built so I haven’t had a chance to get a feel for the space yet.

If say it depends on how many are likely to use the place. If it is 2 people then kitchen top right but if 4 then you might want two places a bit more separate even if one was dining room. Where is the storage for hoover and that sort of junk?

I think your idea of s central kitchen is great, then you can have the dining table and sofa snug area nicely able to enjoy the windows (which you would see from the kitchen when standing anyway). Will you have a log burner? Will kitchen noises and smells bother bedroom inhabitants?
