Wardrobe that doesn't break.

Does anyone know where I can buy a robust wardrobe that won't break. I have previously bought one from IKEA, which is now falling apart and one from John Lewis which is only doing slightly better. I have an indestructible wardrobe from ligne roset but that was £££££££

If anyone has any ideas, I would go up to a reasonable price point if I was sure it would last.

Which one did you have from ikea? We have had our Pax for about 13 years and still going strong despite being disassembled for two house moves. Nothing else I've found has the same flexibility without costing.

Do you need freestanding? Might be worth seeing if a local joiner would make you something if fitted would suit.

Solid pine - you can find them charity shops / clearance shops. Last years and if you can’t stand the orange look then just paint.

We got pine wardrobes when we moved here in 1995, they're still solid.

Thank you for the tips.
Our IKEA wardrobe is a flimsy broken thing.

Glad you got lucky.

We have two solid oak ones from Oak Warehouse (or something like it). They are really sturdy and 15 years in still look great.

I have bought two solid antique pine ones off FB market place over the last two years.

They are huge and I had to hire a courier to collect but they are solid, would have cost a fortune new, look really good and will last forever.
