Panelling

Has anyone done panelling in a hallway/room and is it straightforward or complicated please? My hubby and I would love to redecorate our tired looking hallway something similar to this pic but I'm not sure if we are being silly considering attempting it ourselves. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

It's not particularly hard but I personally think it only suits certain houses.

I have used easi panel which was just glued on and I painted over. Very easy to do and still up and looks good 8 years later.
