Are bowls usable with gaps in glaze?!

I have just bought online some beautiful handmade dip bowls. The glaze has gaps in some places. Do you think they're ok to use, or should I send them back?!

Do you think you can put a photo up OP, I think I know what you mean but not certain? My assumption would be they will be safe but may get stained in the gaps but without seeing I may be misunderstanding.

They’re to give to someone btw, so I want them to be good!
