Zip and Link bed

Looking at zip and link beds as a solution to myself and DH always waking each other up. Both light sleepers and most nights someone ends up in the spare room because they can't sleep.

Not ideal so wondering if anyone had them and do they feel like a proper king size or just like a pair of twins pushed together?

@needanewbed we have a super king zip and link. The zips are not at the top of the mattress but a little bit down so you cannot feel the zip at the top but you can feel the mattress piping. The bed feels like one whole bed. The bases have large metal U shaped clips that hold the two divan bases together.

We have a mattress topper, like a good duvet not the really thick ones but due to the sheer size of the bed, when sleeping we don't move onto the other person's side. We actually bought it almost 10 years ago. We discovered zip and link when we were on holiday and we had completely undisturbed sleep. We pulled back the sheets to see what the mattress was. Dh is a big fella, built to play rugby, I don't wake with him turning over unless he pulls the duvet cover.

Our headboard is a single piece so a super king with no gap. Lots of B&Bs have zip and link beds that they can separate into two singles.

@KaloolaDeBue thanks!! Sound great. Also thinking of separate duvets but FH thinks that's a step to far !!

@needanewbed My parents had separate duvets to stop my Mother murdering my Father aka the midnight cover stealer.
