White paint recommendations for a bedroom

13 year old dd wants us to paint her bedroom white and wants beige colour blinds. The room is small but has 2 large windows. One east facing and one south facing so it’s very light and bright. Please can anyone recommend a white colour? Thanks

I think it depends if you want a pure white or a slightly off white.
Having just tested about a million different white paints for my kitchen, I found Little Green Shirting to be the purest white without a hint of grey or yellow, it is softer than trade brilliant white.
I have dulux timeless in a south facing bedroom. It’s definitely a slightly off-white but without any yellow tone.
I often see dulux cotton white recommended but I have previously had it in an east facing room and it had a definite blue tone to it.
You’ll definitely need to try a few testers in the room itself - preferably with a sample of the blind fabric if you can get one.

Yes definitely get the blind fabric first and then look for paint to go with - so much easier that way round (made that mistake before!!)

Agree Shirting is lovely if you want an actual white, that’s not glaring but also has no hints of colour.

If you want an off white with beige undertones then look at Schoolhouse White or Joa’s white from Farrow & Ball, or the Slate range from Paint & Paper Library. There’s probably loads of others. But get the fabric first!!

Thanks very much. I think we're after a pure white. After searching previous threads on MN I thought shirting would be a good shout, so great to hear this. Thanks for the other white recommendations- we're planning on painting the living room white too which is west facing so this is helpful to have other suggestions.
