Recommendation for a Heat Pump Tumble Dryer

Looking to replace our old vented tumble dryer. Heat pump dyers seem to be popular and energy efficient but I don't know much about them. Reviews suggest they take take longer to dry and water collects like a condenser dryer that needs emptying.

Anyone got a model they are happy with and would recommend?

This thread is quite old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’re looking for tumble dryers, we’ve recently updated our best tumble dryer page with lots of great options rated by Mumsnet users, plus info on whether a heat pump or condenser dryer is best for your home. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

I got this one last year. Very happy with it. ao.com/product/dtlp71151w-beko-heat-pump-tumble-dryer-white-77816-126.aspx

I have a Beko one too but 9kg. I couldn't be without it now

We bought a Miele one-it uses pennies to dry everything. We drain it via the washing machine drain so no emptying.

I bought this one to replace my ancient vented tumble dryer. ao.com/product/wth84000gb-bosch-serie-4-heat-pump-tumble-dryer-white-69785-126.aspx. It does take longer to dry than the old one, but cists much less to run and the biggest plus is that clothes don't get so hot so I feel like it must be less damaging. Towels come out lovely and fluffy.

I have a Beko 9kg one too. I think it's great, although I haven't had a vented one to compare
