Where to buy curtains

We had an offer accepted on a house last week and Im now thinking all of the practicalities through. We will need curtains for some of the rooms as some dont have any (not sure if the vendor will leave the curtains that are there).
The rooms that dont have curtains have big windows.
Any suggestions for where I can get curtains without breaking the bank? Thanks.

I'd check out EBay initially. Then you can replace with nicer ones at leisure

Dunelm

Varies through the house for us: kitchen door need to be nice but washable so John Lewis; bedrooms and dining room Dunelm off the peg was fine. Front door hall were made using heavy duty fabric at Dunelm (old house). Living room needed to be better quality and a particular look so locally made with Voyage Maison fabric. I splurged on living room but budget everywhere else.

Forgot to add, we have big windows, but Dunelm off the peg were fine for most, just needed made to measure by them for some rooms.

B&Q was where I picked up my last curtains. They are blackout and amazing for the price.

Next and Dunelm worth a look.

We love Dunelm curtains.
Their M2M are excellent quality and if you order them during a 20% sale they are good value for money.
Had them in our old house and having just moved had no hesitation ordering curtains & Roman blinds for the new place.
Of course you may well find someone local who does a good job but you are relying on recommendation, with Dunelm you know the quality (and price) wherever you live.

Another vote for Dunelm

I also got mine from Dunelm. I spent months and months searching and figured out Dunelm sell everything that the ready made curtain market has to offer.

Ebay is also good of you don't mind second hand. I bought some fleece lined curtains this morning for a bargain price ready for winter!

Also check out if you have a curtain exchange shop, they sell high end second hand curtains at reasonable prices, can be a bit time consuming though as a lot aren’t standard measurements, I got a beautiful pair of interlined curtains in a colefax & fowler fabric for about two hundred pounds.
