I am looking to replace my bog standard Ikea dining table (worn down by 2 children now aged 4 and 10) with a rectangular ceramic or wooden 6 to 8 seater, at least 180 cm in length (or extendable) and below £900 or so. Would love recommendations for a table that looks good, and is also functional. My concern with ceramic is its weight and also that it is slightly cold to touch compared to wood. I wouldnt consider marble since too expensive and needs a lot of care. Any recommendations? Thank you.
