Would a double curtain rail look a mess?

The location where I live has a fly problem. I have no idea why. Nowhere else I have lived has had this quantity of flies. I don't like the idea of fly sprays or ultrasonic fly repellers, so I'm considering getting sheer voile curtains.

I would need to have a second curtain rail put up, and move the existing curtains to the outer rail, so that the voile curtains could go on the rail nearer the window.

I'm wondering how this would look - would it look a mess to have a double curtain rail?! Below is a photo of the type of curtain rail/track that I have. I would get another one the same. Does anyone have this at home, and if so, are you happy with it?!

At the moment I'm so fed up with the flies that I have the windows closed, which is rather stuffy in this weather, so I'd really like to find a good solution!

Just buy a double curtain rail. They're on the same bracket and so they don't look messay at all.

Have you have had net curtains? I have no idea what they are called, but you get those ropes/wires to hang net curtains on that have little hooks that screw into the frame. You could try something like that.

@Pinkpenlady Ah, that's an interesting idea - I'll look into that. Thank you!

You could hang your voile on a telescopic net rod. This fits in the window reveal with spring/pressure fitting so no screws or drilling needed.
you could put the rod very close to the top of the reveal to keep flies out. Voile on a curtain pole would still have a gap that flies could get through.

Hi! Many double tracks are bendable and do not look messy. Have a look here:

Or you could put up flydcreens? They come as either magnetic or Velcro attachment.

flies still get in with nets or voile panels.
