Which curtains (with photos)?

We had our kitchen done and the only thing left is to get a curtain for the back door. It's a North facing room so I only need it to shut out the dark in the evenings. Would like to avoid anything too bulky so it takes up minimal space when open. I'll have a curtain pole inside the door recess if possible.
A couple of options are below but open to suggestions!
One is a voile type material which I think could be nice, do they look ok when closed at night? I'm guessing they become slightly more opaque-looking with a dark background?
Thanks!

I prefer number one. Voile will look odd in the winter when drawn on a cold dark night?

Thanks for your opinion. That's what I was wondering about the voile, but wasn't sure how I could find out!

Voile is not really for blocking out dark, more for cutting down brightness.

Those pale colours will get quite grubby quite quickly by a back door and in a kitchen though.

Our old one was a similar light coloured background with a pattern and it was fine. I would have kept it but it doesn't go with the new colours.

Pretty unanimous so far! Thanks, you are all confirming what I think I knew deep down!

Number one, assuming they're washable 😊

The first one.

Generally not advisable to wash (lined) curtains. They are never the same!

I had a problem with a grubby leading edge with one side of a pair of curtains across a patio door. I would suggest making just one super wide curtain which draws away from the door opening so that it isn't brushed against by people going in and out.

Love the geometric in picture one.

One.
Love it.
