What colour paint with this wallpaper?

I’m doing up my guest bedroom. I will have one wall in this wallpaper
www.johnlewis.com/anyday-john-lewis-partners-spot-wallpaper/gold/p4851123

the other 3 walls will be painted. I’m thinking a cream (not magnolia!!) would a “buttery” cream with yellow undertones be ok? It’s a north facing room and don’t want it to feel cold. I think white will be wrong especially as the furniture is all white.

Any suggestions welcome.

If you can go to a place where they match paint - my inclination would be to match the paint to the background of the wall paper. ( they used to do it in B&Q and Sainsbury's Homebase ) - it isn't dreadfully expensive - you just need to take a piece of the wallpaper to match

Good luck though whatever you do

F+B James white fits this description, kinda butter coloured, or maybe ice cream vanilla? I’ve just done a load of woodwork with it, so I’m not sure how a whole wall of it would look, but it’s a warm colour.

We have a F&B shop so could pop in for samples.

Johnston’s trade, colour matched to FB is cheaper and is identical for the lighter shades. Get it from Brewers or similar, not bnq.

Aaah yes forgot about Brewers!
