I need some new bed linen but am on a pretty tight budget. Any recommendations about where to look that won’t break the bank but is decent quality, cotton, etc?

To maxx often have stuff like Sanderson. Pure cotton very reduced in price

WalkingOnSonshine · 22/05/2022 20:54

I like Dusk. They almost always have a clearance.

Vintage.

Ebay shops. Look for 300+ thread count Eygptian cotton. I need super kingsize duvet cover sets & king size sheets. Usually pay under £30 for duvet & pillow cases and under £15 for deep fitted sheets.

IKEA.

Bedeck always fabulous brands and their sales are great

Bedeck outlet if you’re near one-best quality bedding which looks good years on. If not, Tesco Fox and Ivy bedding is excellent value for money-as are their towels. Feels like premium bedding, much better quality than equivalent John Lewis price bedding.

I got some really nice 100% cotton bedlinen from Asda. I think it was about £25 for a king size set

supertedious · 30/05/2022 20:37

I second Fox and Ivy from Tesco feels soft and expensive but a snippet of the price compared to John Lewis etc

Muji is good and I’ve also had some good stuff from Sainsburys

Lineala · 30/05/2022 21:10

I usually buy from this website. finerbedrooms.co.uk/collections/bedding

Good quality, I bought a KS duvet cover and some fitted sheets. They are good quality and washed well.

For bed sheets, Wilko Best are fab. They feel really luxurious and are great value.

Bedeck are great! I am obsessed with their joules stuff.

The outlet near me had a lot of dirt cheap clearance stuff at the weekend!!

RoseLunarPink · 30/05/2022 21:48

Definitely Ikea. Also ebay, you can often find lovely expensive, new John Lewis or other brand bedding that hasn’t even been opened and very cheap - or sometimes amazing quality vintage things. H&M have lovely linen and washed cotton stuff that’s quite cheap and they have good sales. And I was in primark the other day and snapped up a massively reduced linen and cotton mix duvet cover for DD - it was £3! Can’t vouch for it being long lasting yet though.

My absolute favourite duvet set though is heals, it’s beautiful and again was very cheap in a sale, £20 reduced from £100-plus, I couldn’t believe it. Bedding seems to be something where they reduce end of line things drastically.

Tesco is doing nice Egyptian cotton sheets for £20 atm!

I got these for my spare room from [https://www.aldi.co.uk/dark-floral-printed-king-duvet-set/p/714528519625201 Aldi] Love them. Not 100% cotton but feel fine. I got a apricot/pink sheet to go with them. Great price. Beautiful print
