Strip or Respray dining chairs - how much?

I've got some (what once were lovely) oak buttercream painted dining chairs but after 11 years they have chipped paint, marks, and look done in although the chair underneath is fine. They need rehab - strip and repaint or varnish.

Has anyone had painted chairs resprayed recently? What did it cost? I'm thinking it'll end up being cheaper to ditch them as we're not handy and have no outdoor space to do it ourselves.

My DH does this as a paid hobby. He would probably charge approx £25/£30 per chair. Sanding down is what takes the time.. then 2 coats of paint/stain or 3 wax/oil

Thanks snoods, I'll see if I can find someone near me as that is worth it, but didn't want to go and get estimates without some idea!
