The perfect front door red?

I live in a stone-fronted, late Victorian house. Our front door faces south and has two stained glass panels in various shades of red and green. I'm struggling to choose what red to paint it in. At the moment, it's painted F&B Rectory Red, which I don't like as it looks fuschia rather than red. I'd love a glossy bright red, but with the door being south-facing, I worry it'll look too garish. A darker red might be best, maybe.

Any recommendations?

Red paint is more likely to fade/degrade in direct sunshine - so whatever you choose make sure it's uv resistant paint.
