Best window film to let in maximum light

I want to put window film on a South facing window to provide privacy. But I also want to let as much light & heat as possible into the room - my cacti thrive on the windowsill.

What is the best window film to use? Is window film the best product to do the job? Would some net/lace curtains do the job better?

I used a company called 'Brume' to do our street-facing bay window. Lets in all the light and much nicer quality and finish then the sticky back plastic stuff. And a neater look than a net curtain imo.

We have voiles on the bedroom windows on the floor above but that's because I have to be able to peep from somewhere in the house🙂

Frosted or patterned frosted for maximum light. Some suppliers offer bespoke printing onto frosted window film for children's themed rooms.
