Ikea Asvang foam mattress

Has anyone used one of these mattresses? Would be grateful for experiences, as there aren't many reviews on the Ikea website. We're looking to replace a high-end pocket sprung mattress that unfortunately is sagging massively after 7 years - the firmer support the better!

I have the Morgedal, and previously had the Sultan, both discontinued now.

The Sultan was great, nice and firm. The Morgedal is no sprung and is softer and I don't like it as much. I've had it about 3 years and it has no signs of sagging but I generally lie like a plank and don't weigh much, and only share with DCat

i'd say it's worth a try at the price. If you are not used to foam you might find it strange but you can add a topper. I don't find it sweaty

Thanks, @KirstenBlest - good to know that both yours have been decent quality.

I was sleeping on a firm foam mattress while on holiday, and twigged that I don't actually need to wake up aching every morning.

Think we'll give the IKea ones a try ..

Hi @BabycakesMatlala how did the mattress turn out? I’m just about to buy the same one!xx

BabycakesMatlala · 22/11/2022 19:02

Hi @KirstyLong - it turned out BAD! Too form, and just v cheap feeling.

However, we did buy an Ikea Valevag mattress for Dd's bed, and this is much better quality. DD went for the medium firm, but they have a firm option as well.

Hope that may be of some help!
