So, I told my husband to paint the stairway, hallway and landing in peignoir and the kitchen which the hallway leads into. When you walk into the house you walk past the stairs and straight into the kitchen there is no door and the kitchen is narrow as the hallway.
What does he do! He paints it in mizzle which was for the living room! So he’s painted the landing 3 walls in mizzle (2 coats) he hasn’t painted the wall that goes down the stairs yet. I’m thinking should I ask him to now paint the wall down the stairs and in wall the goes into the kitchen in peignoir or paint mizzle till the kitchen starts the paint peignoir. Mizzle won’t match the kitchen and I’m worried there will be like a mizzle stop line then the start of peignoir as the hallway and kitchen wall is one wall. Then is we do peignoir from the stairs wall, will it look strange if upstairs is in mizzle and then the stairs wall and down stairs in peignoir? I don’t really want to paint over the 2 coats now as the paint was expensive and it does actually look great.
