Sofa bed or air bed?

Hello
We need to buy something to allow us to have overnight guests. It'll be predominantly for our 6 year old DGD but adults (including by 75 year old DF) may also stay.
I'm not sure whether to go for a Sofa bed or an air bed that is large and hopefully comfortable.
Any advice/recommendations much appreciated.

Depends on space and budget I guess. And how much you would use it. I personally wouldn’t sleep on an air bed at my age let alone if I was 75, but your DF may be different. I got a sofa bed for my spare room for guests and it’s great. There are loads on the market of all sizes and budgets.

sofa bed but make sure a comfy one. It is not the greatest for a sofa but with many cushions it can work (I had some backs of cushions to make it work ) the Ikea Hemnes sofa bed is very comfortable for 1 or 2 people and has a spare mattress.

I've got a double air bed that is fine for one person, though getting up and down might be a challenge for an older person, but it's no good for two people, you roll together.

Thank you everyone. I was veering towards sofa bed. It's not a sofa that gets sat on very often so I'm hoping that it will comfortable enough as a sofa when it is used.

Get the best quality sofa bed you can afford would be my recommendation, bas ed on our experiende. Our sofa bed was still going strong after more than 25 years and with quite regular use.
