Very pale pink paint

Can anyone recommend a very pale pink paint for a north facing guest bedroom? Thinking of something like a white with just a hint of pink, but can't seem to find anything that fits the bill - everything I've seen is either too pink or just looks pure white.

Dulux rose white?

BodgeJobs · 07/04/2022 16:59

I went for Dulux blush pink in a north facing room and to be honest, would not recommend it. It was too cold a shade for a room with no direct sunlight.

In the end, I repainted in Dulux Soft Stone; it is almost a neutral in colour, with earthy undertones, reminiscent of a freshly plastered wall but much much softer. A north facing room needs to be warmed up, so maybe try a sample. Give it a day to dry properly, initially, it looked very dark and almost peach initially. Also, I found matching cooler pink toned paint a nightmare, as most accessories in that tone are too much of a bubblegum hue.

Can't see a Rose White on the Dulux website, but there is a Blossom White which looks really close to what I'm after - although I might have to have a rethink based on BodgeJobs' comments.

Farrow and Ball Great White might be suitable.

We have Craig and Rose China White in our North facing bedroom - I love it!

On line and in the tin it looks just off-white but against brilliant white coving/ceiling and skirting it has the palest hint of pink.

Oh, that is absolutely gorgeous, but probably a little too pricey for a room that isn't used often. Might look at getting it colour matched though.

I’ve used Dulux Blossom white but it seems to be discontinued. Trying to find something similar - palest pink.

Woahbodyforrrrm · 08/04/2022 23:21

I just came to recommend blossom white from dulux too! Such a shame to hear it's discontinued.

I spent a small fortune on samples trying to get the right shade for my girls room and was delighted to find this. We've just moved them to a new room and I was planning on painting it blossom white again 😕

Praminthehall · 09/04/2022 10:55

Just found out while you can’t buy it off the shelf any more you can get it mixed at a Dulux mixing station.

F&B Pink ground looks basically white in my living room which is East facing, but shaded so all filtered light. Not sure if you've tried that one already.

China Clay range from Little Greene. Different colour intensity-try China Clay pale.

Another vote for little greene

Or LG Hollyhock?

Peignoir is a beautiful pink, but maybe not what you’re looking for

SeanChailleach · 14/04/2022 20:11

Dulux Light and Space Jasmine Shimmer
Similar to Farrow and Ball Middleton Pink

Lennybythewood · 15/04/2022 12:54

Thanks for all the suggestions. After going through loads of testers, I've settled on Dulux Pink Skies. It's not what I thought I'd go for as it's just barely off white, but with a subtle pink undertone. Like a PP said, matching pink tones was going to be an issue with soft furnishings so this solves the problem.

Just in case ... I'm planning lick pink 01 for my north facing room (once I've fixed all the appalling bits of peeling f&b paint !)

MimiSunshine · 17/04/2022 16:15

Unless you’ve already bought the paint I’d also recommend Dulux Jasmine Shimmer (not to be confused with Jasmine white).
It’s a white with a hint of pink but I’d quite cool toned so may not be a bit cold in a north facing room
