I have a friend who swears the only brand of quartz worktop to have is DuPont Corian - others stain. Is this true?

Corian is not quartz. There are loads of websites that outline the pros and cons of each to help you choose which to use.

Yes - but Corian also makes a quartz! It’s called Corian quartz as opposed to Corian (just to make things even more confusing! It used to be called Zodiaq ). I just wondered whether anyone had a different brand that they were happy with.

Quartz doesn't stain as it's a mineral and is non-absorbent. That why people choose it over granite and marble which are porous stones.

We have Unistone and it has never stained.

My pale coloured Silestone has never stained, and I'm not exactly careful!

Thank you! Good to know
