wood knot stains on paintwork

Does anyone know how to deal with brown stains on paintwork where the knots in the wood have bled through the paint (Johnson's satinwood I think). The knots were were painted over with knot sealant then undercoat before painting, but still the brown has come through. Do I just paint over, or is there some other product, or a better type of paint I could use?

I’ve never had one show through after using knitting solution.
Was it supposed to have a couple of coats before painting or something? You could try another coat of paint over it but I imagine, if it’s come through undercoat & paint already, then it still may come through again.

A stain-blocker paint should sort that out, such as Zinsser Cover Stain Primer Paint www.toolstation.com/zinsser-bulls-eye-123-primer-sealer-paint/p95233

Thanks - this looks like it will do the job.

I think Zinsser B-I-N (shellac based) would be even better suited for the job
