Painting the living room and have a ton of farrow and ball samples. Question is do I paint all walls the same or go darker on the chimney breast ? Old fashioned now ?

I have a black wood burner and white wood surround which I would like to keep as some shade of white and a wood floor.

Do I match the surround to the chimney breast and do the other walls different shade?

Can you add a pic of the woodburner and surround?

Generally a feature chimney breast is a bit dated now but not terribly so!

Difficult without knowing age of house/features/ceiling height.

All walls the same
Fire surround and al woodwork 2 shades darker than walls.

The wood burner and surround are sat here waiting to be installed tomorrow.
The house is a stone built 1930s semi. Average height ceilings ( I think) . Will be going for neutrals / whites.
