Hi everyone ,
I am wanting to get a new sofa and would really love a cream or white but nervous . I don’t have you g children but do have grandchildren and pets . Should I do it ? And if so , is leather or fabric best

I had a friend who bought a cream leather sofa.
She soon found it was grubby and marked because it picked up dye from peoples jeans when they sat on the sofa!

I forget where she bought it from but their response was ‘put some throws on it’.

I’m already regretting ordering a pale yellow sofa, even though we’ve paid to have the fabric guard on it. I wouldn’t go for cream or white ever with pets & grandchildren.

We've always had fabric sofas but have leather at the moment and never again. They aren't cosy and comfortable for snuggling and relaxing in and I worry about the leather getting scratched from the dog even with throws on.

Before this we had textured creamy beige sofas and they were great and lasted a good 10 plus years with boys and a dog. Actually had to get rid because the springs went before the fabric looked ruined.

If you get leather make sure it’s not bonded leather. The surface of mine are breaking up like crazy and they weren’t cheap.
