I need to buy a new sofa, a process I thought would be pretty straight forward, it's not.

I've always had second hand sofas but have managed to save up to buy my first ever new one.

I was pretty determined I wanted a grey leather corner sofa. I have three big children, one with LD who is very destructive, and a dog. I thought paying extra for leather that I could wipe down would be the best option.

Apparently I can only get certain leathers as some are too delicate and scratch or stain easily.

My question is would you pay the extra for leather in these circumstances or go for a hardwearing fabric one? And to add insult to injury I'm now throwing navy blue into the mix too. What would you do?

Leather
have large corner sofa 6-7 seats
Bought at DFS 22 years ago paid about 3000 for my leather one.
Its lasted so long withstanding dogs, cats, children / grandchildren
Easy to keep clean and wipe any pet hairs off.
The frame is still solid. But in the last year or so it has torn on 2 seems and one seat has sagged.
I am decorating at present but am def looking at getting same one again and it's cheaper now than 30 years ago

Thank you for the advice. Wow 22 years that's amazing. If it lasts half that I will be happy tbh
