Where do you buy lighting?

Just moved in to a new house (well, new to us) and it's full of feckin' chandeliers. It's not a stately home, it's a bog standard 35 year old house on a small estate. We need to change the lights - DH and I are both over 6' and we keep banging our heads!

I want some kind of flush to ceiling light, had a look at Wayfair but have never bought anything from there before - a bit confused as to whose product they sell because none of the brands I looked at had their own websites or appeared to be sold elsewhere.

As we need to change about 10 of the chandelier feckers, I'm looking for something under £50.

Quite like this sort of thing:
light

You can check out Next, Dunelm, BHS Lighting. If you google 'flush mount ceiling light' we will get a lot of options.

Also, if you are buying so many, then write to them asking for a bulk discount. It never hurts to ask!

Bhs, dunelm, wayfair

That type of light is generally referred to as a nipple light for obvious reasons…

Don't forget Homebase & B&Q

Oh lord, won't be able to under 'nipple light' now...........

Thank you all for your suggestions.

My first port of call is usually Iconic Lights. Trendy styles (for the most part) and keenly priced.

Costco’s do some more contemporary round flush lighting that could go with most decor.

I recently moved into a new build so needed lights everywhere. I am now fully kitted out with shades from B&M, Dunelm, The Range and B&Q, plus a floor lamp uplighter from John Lewis.

Litecraft has gone very expensive.

The kitchen light we bought for £50 in Wickes is £64 in Litecraft, so compare before you buy.

So, try Wickes as well.

I have bought from ocean lighting over the years. They have such a good range on their website.

Pooky and Jim Lawrence. They both do flush lights or understated pendants which are modern but classic enough not to date.

Everything we've ordered has been good quality too!
