Window Dressing

What window dressing would you suggest for this kitchen diner? We are very rural and not overlooked at all so no curtains/blinds are not needed for privacy, just to finish off the room. I’m torn between adding in a pattern, and having something very simple like a natural linen curtain.
What would you go for? Would you have window dressings at both ends of the room or just the dining end? Does the kitchen look ‘unfinished’ without them? All thoughts gratefully appreciated!

We live in a similar situation. We don’t have anything on our windows. I feel like it takes light from small mullion windows if you put things up. But that’s just my opinion. I think your room looks lovely as it is.

I’m definitely tempted to leave the kitchen end without anything, the views are lovely out of the windows and don’t really want to detract from that. I suppose I just wanted to check that it didn’t look unfinished.

I’m thinking about something light and neutral for the diner end, maybe even coming right down to the floor. But then I do have children that would happily wipe their hands on light coloured linen curtains so I don’t know!

Yes I nearly said curtains for the dining end, if anything.

Yes I’d have a sandy coloured full length curtain at the dining end. Something along the lines of the table colour, or even a darker brown to tie in with the beam?

I'd go for curtains in a French ticking type of fabric, something simple with a linen textured effect. Would go well with your furniture. But I would keep them simple so not too many pleats, just something relaxed to frame it either side.
