Same colour walls and sofas??

I’m dithering over living room wall colours.
I was sort of set on Hague Blue but a friend, & someone on here, said this is ‘on its way out’. I’m not too bothered about this and am generally the sort of person who’s late to a trend, anyway.
DP thinks HB will be too dark in our south facing room - 1930s semi so high ceilings and all white above the picture rail - I don’t think it’ll be too dark & think it will go with fireplace tiles etc.
New sofas are going to be a velvet ‘saffron’ colour. It’s quite a dark browny yellow and I’m wondering if F&B India Yellow on the walls would look terrible or great with the similar coloured sofas.

I’ve been ridiculously over-thinking this whole paint-buying process and I now can’t think straight. Would yellow walls and yellow sofas look shit? Or if I go for Hague Blue will I regret it?

It's only paint. Paint it Hague Blue because that's what you love and it'll look great with your yellow sofa. You can always repaint it yellow in a few years.

I have a saffron coloured sofa and yellow walls. Our room is a north facing Victorian lounge and I wanted to add some warmth to it !! It’s uncertainly has but be careful if you have lots of light as it may be too much !!

I have Hague blue in my house and never tire of it. Don’t care if it’s on the way out. It’s only paint and can be painted over in a few years. Would look great with yellow!

@WindUpBird it’s very cosy but after lockdown I am sort of fed up with sitting in my happy room yeah a very spoilt dog !! I think the blue would look amazing though!! Have a look on Pinterest great idea there !!
