Which grey with stiffkey blue for kitchen please?

Hello

We are just in the process of planning our new kitchen for our extension. It’s hopefully going to be quite airy and light, not especially high ceiling as the extension is two storey off an old cottage .
I know it’s not exactly a groundbreaking colour scheme but I would love a stiffkey blue island with grey units everywhere else including a larder, dresser and window seat. Would you choose cornforth, ammonite or purbeck? Was thinking of Wimborne white for the walls as it seems to suit our current house too. Any suggestions please? I just want it to look soft but bright and welcoming and cosy. The kitchen manufacturers colour match to F and B. It’s a shaker kitchen (very much in Tom Howley style) and was thinking about brass handles and taps. I am looking at lovely flagstones in a soft greeny grey that all colours such as the navy look beautiful against.

Many thanks

You need to get a load of tester sheets painted up and move them around the room. Wimborne is very yellow. I personally wouldn’t put it with cornforth which is a lilac grey.

Thank you - that’s a really helpful suggestion. Which white would you choose with cornforth and stiffkey please?

We've just had our island painted in Hague Blue. I think that suits Cornforth, Ammonite etc more than Stiffkey.

I've also got a bedroom with Stiffkey walls and Wimborne woodwork. It looks lovely.

It all depends on your light. I’d start by going on the farrow and ball chat online and asking them for a dark blue a mid grey and a white that tone. They will tell you the best combinations based on the underlying tone of the paint colour. I’d then get testers and see if those combinations work with your light. Light is everything.

We have cornforth white with our stiffkey blue - it’s absolutely beautiful! Recommended by the farrow and ball consultant 🙂

Thank you so much all for your advice. The space isn’t built yet, starts next week but it is south facing and should be very airy. Hague blue is beautiful but I like the warmth of stiffkey Smile

The website says the white for Stiffkey Blue is shadow white.

In colour combinations it matches as follows:
Stiffkey with Wevet and Ammonite
or
Stiffkey, cornforth and purbeck
