Rug suitable for office chair

I'm looking for a rug that will work with an office chair (with wheels). I'd been thinking of a flatweave but am worried that even a flatweave may ruck up when I'm moving my chair in and out from the desk. Would an underlay be enough to prevent this from happening?

My preference would be for natural fibres. To complicate matters it needs to be a large rug as the floor is in a state - ideal would be 250 by 350 cm. This limits my options a lot so another option would be two rugs c 170 by 240 cm.

Any experience or thoughts very welcome!

What about a microfibre rug with a rubber underside - available from Lakeland or similar - not sure if you could get one big enough but two together might work & stop slipping - just a thought.

Look into flat-woven cotton/cotton blend/polyester chenille rugs, brands like Louis de Poortere, Jules Flipo or similar unbranded types. Whether you’ll need an underlay to stop the rug moving will depend on your floor and room set up.

I've got a proper carpet protector under my office chair in my home office - not glamorous but very effective. Think I got it from Viking.
