Anyone done this and have photos and recommendations you could share?

I'm liking examples as in the photos below (although I'd prefer it to be either tan or green sofa with grey).

I have a fairly standard sofa and large arm chair in cream that match and a lovely navy velvet chesterfield. I’m unlikely to match the navy but cream sofa needs replacing after almost 20 years so I’m thinking of teal or green then cushions to link them all.

Love mismatched sofas. In our sitting room we have a vintage (mid century Danish) tan leather sofa plus a Victorian chaise in teal velvet. There are other tiny bits of teal in the curtains, cushions, ornaments and throws to tie in with the chaise. If you love both the sofas they will go together, there will be a link even if you aren't aware (e.g. although my sofa and chaise are very different in style they are both buttoned).

I’ve a teal sofa and a ochre one. Tonal cushions on each and a ochre throw bring it together. The colour theme is throughout the room, with a Gatsby style teal and gold wallpaper and ochre paint.

I think it's the tone of the colours that needs to be consistent and then the colours will blend, also the weight of fabrics. We've ended up with three colour fabrics for settees and chairs in one room but they are all autumn like colours, and all have same weight and similar type of fabric. Other colours in the cushions ,mish mash of colours, same tones. I think it works, by accident mostly. Walls, curtains, flooring neutral but warm.
