Spare bedroom - what colour rug?

Small double bedroom - white wood furniture, navy blue feature wall and blue and white bedding. Example of bedding Shown below

I’m thinking of adding splashes of yellow around the room but would a bright yellow shag pile rug be too much? Should I stick with a blue rug? Rug example in pics

the 'splash of colour' idea only works if there are several little splashes that tie together. Not lots of blue + one yellow.

I think the blue & neutral in your middle picture is great and you should stick to those shades. the 'splash of yellow' look is probably on the way out.
