Just Walnut and...

Me again...

Had my bedroom painted in Dulux Just Walnut last week.

It feels rather pink, especially at night, and a bit plain.

Now I'm struggling with colours for bedding, curtains etc.

I thought about painting one of the walls a dark green or green blue, and picked up some Valspar cards.

Please tell me what you think, or suggest something else, either in terms of accessory colours or feature wall.

Here is the paint samples and sample for the carpet that is going down this week.

For info, I have an oak style bed en route, and a large oak light fitting.

I wouldn't paint a feature wall but that's because I don't like them, whatever colour they are.
It looks a lovely colour to me and I'd have all the walls that colour and bring in other shades with accessories. I think navy and dusky pink would look great with it.

I'm not sold on the feature wall my self to be honest, but just struggling with how to bring some life to the room now.

I already have a blue living room, and blue and grey bedroom, and a green kitchen, so I wasn't sure if another blue or green was too much, but I think navy is probably the only one I can see working. And the pink would be a nice change.

I thought I had all this pretty much worked out until I actually moved in and starting doing/buying things!

Pale pastel /powder blue would work too op

Yes, I had considered denim drift for one wall, but think I want something a bit bolder if I decide to do that.

Will see what I can find in navy/blush pink accessories/bedding first

I would keep the bedlinen completely white and crisp. Dusk have lovely things, which aren't as expensive as The White Company.

Also scroll down to the bottom and see other people's rooms that they've done as a bit of inspo. I would keep things pale with perhaps some great lamps or cushions in a deeper shade rather than a dark feature wall.

Had a look. I'm not sure I trust myself to keep pure white bedding pristine, as much as like the idea of it! But they do have some lovely things. Definitely some cushions and throws for consideration.
