Mattress for better sleep

Looking to replace my teenage daughter's mattress. She doesn't sleep well and I'm hopeful that a new and better mattress could make a difference to her sleep but she also needs a new mattress regardless - so it's not like I'm hoping for some magic. It's single bed. Where would you go to 'test' them? What are some good shops to go to and how do we decide what works? Budget not exactly unlimited but also not the main factor. Thanks.

My nana has just bought one from Bensons and I was really impressed with their service and knowledge. They were really helpful and asked loads of questions about her sleep before showing some that would suit.

We’ve bought from John Lewis before which was fine too. Tested them at their shop in High Wycombe.

Excellent! We've got Bensons not far from us so will go have a look, thank you!

One that you can return if you don't like it might be best for her.

I'd recommend Warren Evans, they used to have showrooms but now have a very simple range of excellent quality mattresses online - you get 60 days I think and if you don't like it they will let you try another, free of charge etc.

They also recycle your old one, and deliver to the bedroom.

I was really impressed with them and I've had two mattresses from them in the last 10 years, both are beautiful.

This made me smile because I thought I bought a mattress you could return within 100 days with no penalty.. I didn’t, I bought a 2000 pocket sprung pillow topped firm bad boy that’s as so insanely different to my previous saggy soft mattress that I didn’t know what I wanted.

Days 1-3: fucking hated it, didn’t sleep, rank, uncomfy emailed company 3 times to take it back.
Days4-14: hang on, this isn’t as bad as I’d thought, can we swap sides?
Days15- present (3 years): lost comfy thing I’ve ever felt? I can’t wait to slip back in of an evening. You have to peel me out every morning. If I stay in a hotel I just compare it and end up saying ours is nicer. I’ve
seriously never slept on anything so comfy.

Give it time, which ever one you go fir
