Bed positioning!

Currently our bed is facing away from door and I hate it! Feng shui does make sense! I am currently deciding on house extension, in it our bedroom would be a long rectangle shape the bed would be at the far end away from door however there will just be one window and I would like another above the bed, so a long narrow rectangular window just above headboard. It’s on the first floor, we have no neighbours the window would look on to our garden and field. In a very safe place....will it feel ok!? Oh and it won’t open it will just be for light!

will it have a blind or curtain to keep the light out at 5am on a summer morning?

I'd prefer a tall narrow window beside the bed to get a bit of a view but with a good curtain or blind to blackout the early mornings.

Hadn't thought of this but yes to the blackout blind for sure! The widith Of room is exactly widith of bed and two bedside cabinets so windows would have to be 50cm wide. Might be a better option though!
