inspiration needed for windows

Hi everyone,

I am going around in circles looking online for ideas so thought I'd ask you guys for inspiration

Recently moved into our new home, having new windows put in next week, white UPVC - struggling to work out how to dress the windows, currently there are vertical blinds down stairs (which are minging and look like they should be in an office) and roller blinds upstairs - see photo - 3 of the windows are exactly the same and the 4th window is a 3 pane angled bay.

Downstairs lounge is fairly dark so want something bright and that lets in light, but we are at the top of a cul-de-sac with cars turning in so want a bit of privacy - I was thinking day to night blinds but no idea if that would work in the bay window?

Any ideas? I don't like slatted blinds, they get too dusty but willing to consider anything else. Thanks

I have no experience of them but I think you can get blinds that pull up from their anchor at the bottom rather than down from the top..so would be good for privacy but keeping light at the top.
A house I used to visit for work was very stylish and just had thinnish white roller blinds pulled down most of the time they let in a lot of light but stopped anyone looking in. Dress curtains to the sides of each window.
