Paint advice

Please can anyone suggest me what paint shade is best for small hallway with Grey carpet on stairs. I have already ammonite in my bedrooms .
I can go for contrasting colours too .

What colour is ammonite?

Ammonite is warm grey . It’s by Farrow and ball . It’s quite nice but can’t differentiate between grey and white when it’s full sunny day .

I am looking at Johnstone’s too.
