Help me make these alcove cupboards pretty!

We’ve just had new alcove units built in the living room side of our knocked through living/dining room and I’m struggling to visualise paint options. The main walls are currently painted in dulux Egyptian cotton, with a discontinued dulux colour which is very similar to Lick green 01 on the two chimney breasts. I’m trying to avoid repainting the main walls as the Egyptian cotton works nicely with the light and is in pretty good nick still (although mainly because I’m painting it myself and really can’t face redoing the whole room right now!). So it would need to go with that colour.

I’m actually considering sticking with a similar shade of pale sagey green as I do still like it, but if so, do you think I should paint the units in the same colour, or have them in a slightly darker green like the lick green 02, or Egyptian cotton, or a more contrasting colour like grey or taupe? We’ve recently ordered a large charcoal sofa for the opposite wall and a deep emerald green armchair which will be close to the left hand unit.

I'd do the main uprights and shelves in Egyptian Cotton to match most walls but do the back wall of shelved area a deeper shade of the chimney breast
