What colour would you respray cupboards & kitchen island?

Base cupboards I'd go dark - deep velvety blues, greens or even deep purple-ish.

I'd avoid going dark on wall cabinets though.

Alternatively, an icy blue might work?

Powdery blue, eau-de-nil, duck egg green, shiny silvery handles/knobs?
Or dark forest green, brass handles or dark matt charcoal/black handles?

Wood, white, or cream might look dated, grey and sage green a bit depressing.

In my opinion contrast is required.
White, cream, stone, light grey, pale pink/yellow/green/blue.
I’m not a fan of dark on dark.

I like traditional good quality oak or can deal with white. I don't like colours as go put of fashion very quickly.

Stove/mushroom colour

I agree that dark on dark is not a good look

Bluesheep8 · 17/01/2022 07:13

What colour are the walls, floors and any tiling?

HoliHormonalTigerlilly · 17/01/2022 18:07

Walls are white but can be changed. Floor is cream.
Tiles to be chosen.

Was thinking a dark blue or green with brass handles on bottom & island.... . But maybe lighter top cupboards.

That's gorgeous

I like dark units with dark worktop. If you’ve a pale floor and walls it’ll lighten it up a bit. I guess so dependent on how much light the room gets - will you still love it in the summer?
