That's it really. My heart wants patterned but taste dictates I should probably go for plain!

Etsy, you can get them made specifically too, some fantastic folks on there.

Go for patterned! you’ll be bored with something ‘tasteful’

I got some nice ones from M and S. They had a big range. Also saw some good ones on Etsy.

Pooky....I've bought a few lovely ones from them over the past year or so 😄

Maximalism is on trend, go for patterned if that's what you want!

Pooky

Sophie Sharp makes them in her own printed materials and can use the frame from an existing shade for bespoke shapes and sizes (which was helpful when I couldn't find appropriate ones for our lamps). Ours are white and cream tone-on-tone like this one so the light kind of shines through the translucent bits and they look fantastic on our cream pottery lamps. www.lupindesigns.co.uk/

It's straightforward to do your own with a lampshade-making kit. If there's a patterned fabric you really love, this is definitely the way to go.

John Lewis used to have a good selection. Also Homebase is worth a look.

Oh I like those on that Lupin Designs link, crispinglovershighkick

I'm also considering one of these designs for my study www.mountainandmolehill.com/allproducts/cat_953703-Lampshades.html

Pooky and Oka. They are pricey and devine..I have several from them and look as expensive as the price!

EL1984 · 16/01/2022 13:35

Pookey, Oka and fermoie

Another vote for Pooky. Lovely shades and plenty of patterns.

I got most of mine from www.lushlampshades.co.uk/. They’re handmade by a couple of women in South-East London & nearly always have sales on. I found their Greenwich shop by accident & fell in love.
