Currently finishing off our newly knocked through double sized lounge. The main area to the back of the room is covered with an existing Persian style rug that we brought from our previous house. The rest of the floor (dark parquet style) looks very bare and it makes the other side of the room look unfinished. I don't want a symmetrically placed rug on the other side, but I'm not sure how to get it right. Any ideas? Does anyone have a similar front to back room where they've made us of area rugs? Thanks!
