Costco have lovely laminate flooring called Golden Select. It is German made, has built in underlay, lovely quality, in various shades, long warranty and reviews very well, starts around £15 per pack I store, which is 1.16 sqm, price is higher online. They also do LVP and I see some new laminates in herringbone design planks along with some others have been added to the collection.

Are you laying it yourself?
We are looking to get someone in to lay the whole downstairs, most jobs we do ourselves but working around doorframes etc and the whole downstairs is a step too far for us. It’s killer on the back and knees.
For that reason I’m going to visit a couple of flooring businesses and get a quote for supply and fit. Many carpet shops also do laminated, engineered woods, etc.
Although my ideal would be cork or bamboo, I’d have to find a fitter seperately which may be possible but in my experience finding individuals can be a ball ache and they are all booked up forever.

B&Q is where we got ours. £16 psm I think. Prices range from about £8 to £30. Higher if you go for real wood.

Top tip - get really good quality insulating underlay
