Natural flooring that feels ok underfoot?

I've bought a flat and a condition of the lease is that it needs to be carpeted. I hate traditional carpet but like the look of sisal, jute, seagrass etc so am looking into natural flooring options. My only concern is that they seem like they'd be very uncomfortable underfoot? Rough and scratchy and hard and ridged. Any thoughts on which would make the best option to make walking around barefoot a tactile pleasure as well as a visual one? Or if you have natural flooring, do you just add loads of rugs? Ftb so very new to all this. Thanks!

A good wool carpet feels nice underfoot. Wool loop i think looks more like what you are suggesting.

Tatami mats?

Wool carpets are "natural" and much better quality than synthetic carpets.
I suggest you go to a carpet shop, but the textures you suggested don't sound very nice to me.

One of my relatives had jute. Absolute hell to clean as it was very rigid so if you spilt anything it got in the cracks. Gross.
