I have a double glazed bedroom window, but it does not do a good enough job of blocking out the sound of aeroplanes, which wake me up at night. I'm very sleep-deprived as a result. I use earplugs and have tried all types, but am still getting woken up, so I'm thinking of getting a new/reinforced window that would be more soundproof.
It needs to be a timber sash window, as I'm in a conservation area. I heard about this company: www.hugocarter.co.uk/. I'm just wondering how effective their windows are at reducing noise? I'd be really grateful to know if anyone has experience of them!
